WHAT IS DERMAPLANING ?
Dermaplaning is an exfoliating facial procedure that consists of using a sterile surgical-grade scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells and peach fuzz in order to reveal a smoother, healthier complexion. Dermaplaning also allows for greater absorption of skincare products and creates a smooth canvas for makeup to glide on flawlessly.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Dermaplaning is safe for all skin types except those with active acne breakouts. I recommend to wait until breakouts are clear before trying this treatment. As always, please inform your esthetician of any allergies or skin sensitivities before starting a treatment.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS OF DERMAPLANING?
Some clients may experience slight redness which typically subsides almost immediately. Your skin will look radiant with a more even skin tone and texture, and all of your peach fuzz will be gone! Hello smooth skin!
DOES THE HAIR GROW BACK THICKER?
This is the most frequently asked question, the answer is no. Dermaplaning or “shaving” does not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. It’s biologically impossible because shaving doesn’t change the structure of the hair follicle.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DERMAPLANE?
Dermaplaning removes 3-4 weeks of dead skin cells, so it’s best to allow the skin to complete its rejuvenation cycle before your next treatment.
