Drop your Razor, and Start on Laser!

What is laser hair removal?

Also known as light based hair removal and laser hair reduction

Laser hair removal is a convenient, noninvasive method for permanently reducing or removing unwanted facial or body hair. It leaves the skin looking smoother and silkier than waxing, electrolysis or razors and is a gentle technique that can treat larger areas effectively with minimal discomfort and with no downtime. Today, laser hair removal is one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed in the United States.

The magic behind it:

Laser Hair Removal is when a concentrated beam of light is aimed at hair. The light is absorbed, which causes enough damage to completely kill off the hair follicle.  Lasers can remove hair from anywhere and it lasts several months to a couple of years, as the results differ widely from person to person. Laser Hair Removal works on all skin types. According to the Fitzpatrick scale, there are six different skin types. And laser treatments work on all six. There are separate treatments and settings for the six types of skin. 6 treatments are recommended for people with light and thin hair. For dark, coarse hair, 10-12 treatments are recommended. Laser Hair removal is recognized as one of the best treatments as, while the procedure doesn’t get rid of hair forever, it does drastically reduce hair growth—to the point that you can stop shaving altogether. It also gets progressively less painful as treatments continue and the hair becomes finer.

How long does Laser Hair Removal last for?

Even then, some hair may eventually grow back. You can get an even layer of hair removal after six to eight treatments and you can expect a marked reduction in hair. Any regrowth can be managed with touch-up treatments every 6 to 12 months. After the procedure, you might notice redness and swelling for the first few hours after laser hair removal. To reduce any itching or discomfort, apply ice and/or aloe vera to the treated area. Laser hair removal is both safe and can become very inexpensive because we offer many different varieties of packages, deals, bogo’s, and groupons. This treatment is also very safe. Before doing your treatment, we do a testing procedure to see how your skin will react.

Why it’s a better choice for you!?

Threading and waxing are definitely not recommended as waxing can ruin your laser cycle, further destroying the hair follicles from the roots of the skin. In solution, we recommend shaving which only removes the top layer of hair and helps us suck the hair out of the skin. Laser Treatment may hurt—or it may not. Patients and doctors commonly compare the sensation felt during laser treatments to a rubber band snapping against the skin. However, what laser resurfacing depends on the laser, the depth, the area of treatment, and an individual’s tolerance for pain. If you are tired of shaving, waxing, or painfully plucking unwanted hair, and seek a more effective means of looking your best, laser hair removal is certainly the more healthy and convenient option for you!
