Dimpleplasty, or dimple creation, is a safe and effective office procedure that produces a dimple on one or both cheeks. After a small incision in the cheek, the surgeon will remove a piece of muscle, then attach the inner cheek skin to deeper tissue. The attachment creates the appearance of a dimple. The procedure takes 20-30 minutes. Side effects usually include mild swelling and bruising that fade after a few days. Most patients of dimple creation return to normal activities the next day.
