Dermatologist for Acne – Back Acne Treatment Houston

Back acne can be annoying and embarrassing, and surprisingly many people suffer from back acne while others can get it due to certain factors. Back acne can be blackheads, whiteheads, yellow pus-filled pimples and scarring. You can get breakouts on the back due to oily skin, sweating, bacteria build-up and even from dead skin cells from sheets. If you consistently suffer from back acne an at home skincare regimen is a must along with in spa treatments! Best treatments would be; Microdermabrasions following 2 weeks later with a Chemical Peel, and doing a set of 4 to 6 once a month and then regularly a Microdermabrasion to keep it under control.

A Microdermabrasion will use products targeted towards acne, it consists of cleansing the area, extractions and then using a machine that has a medical grade diamond tip attached to a suction, which will exfoliate the dead skin off and suctioning it off the skin. We then use a purifying mask on the area and end it with a toner to close the pores – so bacteria and dirt cannot make its way back in – and a targeted moisturizer to hydrate the skin. 2 weeks later you can come in for a Chemical Peel, and depending on the severity of the back acne, will determine which strength of Chemical peel we would use.

A Chemical Peel aims to accelerate skin exfoliation, so you will get peeling of the skin but notice that pigmentation and breakouts will slowly diminish. At home products to use should be products containing salicylic acid which helps by dissolving skin debris that clogs pores and cause acne. Benzoyl Peroxide which works by reducing the amount of acne-causing bacteria – this product could cause the skin to get dry and peel. Also, Retinols are a good product for acne. How to prevent back acne; do not frequently wear tight fitting clothes that can trap sweat, wash right after sweating, change sheets regularly, stay on top of treatments and be consistent with at home regimen. Remember to always wear sunscreen especially while using exfoliating products for acne.
